Era Baru Militer Turki : Membaca dan Mempelajari Al Qur’an

 

Tahun 1923 khilafah Islam di Turki dihapus, sultan terakhir Turki Utsmani diusir keluar negeri dan Turki berubah menjadi Republik  dan mulai menegakkan nilai-nilai sekurarisme dan memusuhi segala yang berbau Islam. Tepat setelah 90 tahun dilarang mempelajari pelajaran agama di institusi militer, kini personil militer Turki diperbolehkan membaca dan mempelajari Al-Quran, biografi Nabi Muhammad (shalaallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam), Nilai-nilai dan norma-norma dasar Islam akan diajarkan di sekolah-sekolah militer di Turki, menurut laporan Umma-inform, seperti dilansir oleh Islam.ru.

Laporan mengatakan bahwa Menteri Pendidikan Turki mengeluarkan sebuah dekrit yang menghapuskan larangan mengajarkan pelajaran agama di institusi-institusi pendidikan militer. Sejak saat ini, para murid di sekolah militer-dimulai dari kelas 5-yang memiliki keinginan untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan Islam di sekolah menengah. Demikian juga di perguruan-perguruan tinggi militer Turki akan ada pelajaran dasar-dasar Islam, membaca Al-Quran, adab-adab Islam, dan sejarah Nabi Muhammad (shalalallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam).

Selain itu, dekrit tersebut juga membatalkan aturan yang mengharuskan pemilihan pelajaran untuk para murid oleh para komandan, sebagaimana yang dilakukan sebelumnya.

Karena kekurangan guru-guru Islam yang berkualitas, pernyataan resmi telah dikirim ke Kementerian Agama Turki untuk menyediakan guru-guru Islam untuk peluang ini.
